Agnistambhasana (Fire Log Posture)

Start from sitting with the legs out in front.

Inhale and bring the left leg up and place it so that the shin is straight across in front of you, with the left knee bent and the left foot pointing to the right side. Exhale as you release into the posture.

Inhale and bring up the right foot and place it on the left knee.

The right knee should be bent and the right foot facing the left side.

Both shins should be parallel in front of you and there should be a triangular gap in the middle of the legs and groin area.

Inhale and raise the arms up above the head.

Exhale and bring the arms down in front of the shins/legs and place the hands on the floor in front.

You can also place the forearms on the floor in front if you can, then eventually the forehead on the floor also with the arms out straight.

Hold here for three to five breaths.

Inhale as you come up and out of the pose.

Repeat on the other side, with the left leg on top.
