Bow (Dhanurasana)

Dhanurasana (Dhanurāsana) = Bow-Posture

Dṛṣṭi: nāsāgre = to the nose

1) Start by lying on your front. Reach back and hold your ankles or feet with your hands (hold your trouser leg instead if you need to).

2) Inhale and lift your chest up off the floor and exhale push your feet/legs back into your hands and up off the floor.

3) Hold strongly like this for three breaths, and then exhale release the pose.

4) Do this one to three times in all.

Relax inbetween if you need to.

You can do this up to three times if you wish, or move into Parshva Dhanurasana.
