Sleep Apnoea

Sleep Apnoea is a condition which causes an interruption in a person’s breathing whilst they are sleeping. The term ‘apnoea’ is used when the breathing/air flow is hindered for more than 10 seconds. This is caused when the tissues of the throat and the surrounding muscles relax quite sufficiently and thus blocks the airway.

Sleep Apnoea is mostly found in people who are over weight, if this is the case for you, this issue would need to be addressed also.  However, a number of people suffer this condition regardless of weight and further investigation is needed as if left untreated it can causes other physical symptoms such as heart conditions. What is the symptom trying to tell you?

With people that have Sleep Apnoea there is a tendency of repression and holding things in/back, rather than expressing your true feeling or situation. This repression could be of anger, trust, feelings, speaking ones truth, or simply feeling overwhelmed with life. Without being too judgmental about yourself, perhaps sit a little in meditation (see the prescription here) and allow the answers to come as to what you are repressing.
